Reading the status page¶
The overview¶
The status page opens at the root address of your installation.
- Banner at the top shows the overall state:
- All Systems Operational
- Scheduled Maintenance in Progress
- Degraded Performance, Partial System Outage or Major System Outage
On the right, the banner shows when the page was last updated ("Updated … ago"), with the exact time below it. 2. Key figures below the banner: Active Incidents/Outages, Active Maintenances and Days Since Last Incident/Outage. Maintenance does not count as a disruption. 3. Active Incidents/Outages lists everything that is currently disrupted, the most severe first. The section only appears when there is something to report. 4. Maintenance shows scheduled and running maintenance with start, end and the status Scheduled or In Progress. 5. Service groups show each service with its current status and a bar of the last 90 days.
Reading the 90-day bar¶
Each small segment is one calendar day (in UTC). Its color shows the worst status on that day:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | No problems that day |
| Yellow | Degraded Performance |
| Orange | Partial Outage |
| Red | Major Outage |
| Blue | Maintenance |
Tap or click a segment, or focus it with the keyboard. A line with the date and status then appears below the bar. Tapping outside the bar, pressing Escape or moving the focus closes it again. With a mouse, you also see the same information as a tooltip.
The percentage below the bar ("…% uptime (days)") is the share of days without a disruption over the last 90 days. Days with maintenance count as available. If the operator has set a target for the service, the value is green when the target is met and red when it is missed.
Incidents¶
Each incident appears as a card with its title, impact ("No impact", "Minor impact", "Major impact" or "Critical impact"), current status and the affected services ("Affected: …"). The timeline is always shown below. Each entry shows the time, status and message:
- Occurred: when the problem began
- Investigating, Identified, Monitoring, Resolved
- Reviewed: with the findings of the post-incident review
- Closed
When the times are known, the card also shows "Time To Respond: …" and "Time To Resolve: …".
If the operator has set this up, a resolved incident stays visible in green on the overview for a few minutes. Otherwise it disappears right away and can then be found in the history.
Service detail page¶
Click a service name to open its detail page. It shows:
- group, name, description and the current status
- the 90-day bar with the service availability of the last 90 days
- the monthly bar from January of the previous year and the quarterly bar from Q1 of the previous year. Their color shows the SLA availability: green at 100 %, red below the target.
- the service's SLA schedule, or "24/7" without a schedule
- the availability table with eight periods (This week, This month, Last month, This quarter, Last quarter, Last 90 days, Year to date, One year) and five figures each: Overall Availability, Excl. Maintenance, Service Availability, SLA Availability and SLA Target. ✓ means the target is met, ✗ missed, "—" no target.
- the sections Incidents, Maintenance and Past outages of the service
Each column heading in the table has a small info button. Clicking or tapping it opens the definition of that figure.
On a phone¶
- On the overview, the 90-day bar shows only the last 30 days ("30 days ago"), and the percentage is hidden. On the service detail page, the bar also shows 30 days and its label says "30 days ago"; the percentage stays as on the desktop.
- The monthly and quarterly bars become a list with value and target per period.
- The availability table becomes one card per period.
- The push button sits behind the bell in the header.
History¶
Open Status History in the footer. The History page shows the outages, incidents and maintenance of the last six months in the sections Past Outages, Past Incidents and Past Maintenance. Use Previous and Next to page through them, 20 entries per page. There is no search.
Dark mode and language¶
- Use the Dark mode button in the header (a moon in light mode, a sun in dark mode) to switch between light and dark mode. Your choice is remembered in this browser. Without a stored choice, the page follows your system setting.
- The public page is available in English or German. The operator chooses the language for the whole site. The footer, relative times ("Updated … ago"), outage cards, the status badge and the "My data" pages follow this language as well. Raw error messages from the browser or the server are not translated.
Times¶
All times are first shown in the time zone configured by the operator. Some installations also show the zone name or its offset next to each time.
If your own time zone differs, a globe appears in the header before the dark mode button. Use it to switch all times to your local time zone ("Show times in my local time zone") and back. Your choice is remembered in this browser and applies in other open tabs as well. The days of the 90-day bar and the times on "My data" are not switched.
Automatic refresh¶
If the operator has set this up, the overview reloads itself at a fixed interval, so you see changes without reloading. Independently of that, the "Updated … ago" note in the banner keeps counting.
